Menus
Files: src/config/menu.en.json, src/config/menu.fr.json · Skill level: Beginner
Each language has one menu file with three lists:
header: the top menu, its dropdowns, and its two large panels (mega menus)footer: the link columns of the standard and corporate footersfooterLegal: the small legal links at the bottom of the standard and corporate footers
Change both files when you change a link, so English and French stay in step. In every list, an item is shown unless it has "enable": false.
Header Menu
The order of items in the file is the order on the page. There are four kinds of item.
1. A plain link
{ "enable": true, "name": "Contact", "url": "/contact/" }2. A dropdown. Set "hasChildren": true and list the links in children:
{ "enable": true, "name": "Who we are", "hasChildren": true, "children": [ { "enable": true, "name": "Company", "url": "/company/" }, { "enable": true, "name": "Pricing Plan", "url": "/pricing/" } ]}3. A group inside a dropdown. A child with its own "hasChildren": true opens a second level, like Solution and Industry in the demo menu.
4. A mega menu. An item with "hasMegaMenu": true opens a large panel. megaMenuType picks its design:
megaMenuType | What it shows | Its content |
|---|---|---|
"capabilities-industries" | Two lists: capabilities and numbered industries | capabilities.items, industriesCovered.items, and industriesCovered.allLink |
"resources" | Article cards beside quick links and a consultation box | latestResources.items, quickLinks.items, and quickLinks.consultationCTA |
The demo’s Practice area and Resources items show both designs. Each list and block inside a mega menu has its own enable, so you can turn off parts of a panel:
"quickLinks": { "enable": true, "title": "Quick links", "items": [ { "enable": true, "name": "Case study", "url": "/case-study/" } ], "consultationCTA": { "enable": true, "title": "Get free consultation", "schedule": "Sunday - Thursday | 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM", "url": "/contact/" }}| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
enable | false hides the item |
name | The text shown |
url | Where it goes: /pricing/ for your pages (the language prefix is added for you), a file such as /downloads/business-growth-report.pdf, or a full https:// address |
hasChildren | true for a dropdown or a group |
children | The links inside a dropdown or group |
hasMegaMenu, megaMenuType | Turns the item into one of the two large panels |
On small screens the same items appear in the mobile menu.
The Demo Menus
The Home and Who we are menus link to every demo page and layout (three homepages, their one-page versions, two solution layouts, two industry layouts, and so on), so buyers can explore the theme. Most firms keep only the pages they use. The mega menu also links to one sample detail page each (/solutions/financial-strategy-advisory/, /industries/banking-financial-institutions/); point them at your real pages.
Footer Menu
footer is a list of columns. Each column has a label and a list of links:
"footer": [ { "label": "About", "list": [ { "enable": true, "name": "Who we are?", "url": "/company/" }, { "enable": true, "name": "Contact", "url": "/contact/" } ] }]A column with no visible links is hidden.
Legal Links
footerLegal is a flat list:
"footerLegal": [ { "enable": true, "name": "Privacy Policy", "url": "/privacy-policy/" }, { "enable": true, "name": "Cookie Settings", "url": "#cookie-settings" }]The Cookie Settings link (#cookie-settings) reopens the cookie preferences. It is hidden automatically when the cookie banner is off. The demo’s Support Policy link is disabled because the theme has no such page.
Translate A Menu
menu.fr.json has the same structure as menu.en.json. Keep the url values in English form (/pricing/); the /fr/ prefix is added for you. Translate only name, title, label, and the other visible text.
